To have or not to have an Engagement Party? That is the question.

March 14, 2017

I have mentioned in previous blogs how passionate I am about having and hiring a professional engagement photographer. These are some of the most important moments of your life and they should be captured beautifully. I have not touched much on the subject of engagement parties which is one of my favorite types of parties to put together. This event is a celebration of your actual engagement and the lifetime of happiness that is yet to come for you and your honey. So enjoy it! Plan on having fun and celebrating with your close friends and family, some of which may not be able to make it to your actual wedding. Let's explore some ways to get your party planning motivation in full affect (that is if you are not hiring an experienced wedding and special occasion coordinator).

I recently stumbled across this great website called www.weddingpaperdivas.com. They are loaded with great advise and ideas on planning anything wedding related. I especially found interest in the "50 Fun Engagement Party Ideas" page where I stumble across decadent chocolate dice for a vivacious casino themed party paired with cigars from the Havana Nights picture and you have yourself a stellar co-ed engagement celebration (Vegas inspired). Of course your engagement party is for you and your squeeze so choose your theme according to what makes you happy or choose to not have a theme at all. However if you do need help fueling the creative side of your brain try implimenting your personal hobbies and life style into your special occasion. Getting creative is my passion and is what I do for a living I love it with my entire being. Others, not so much! No, pun intended it is a simple fact and that is why they need people like me to conjure the creative out of everyone and give your party that something that just says "You" in style.

May I suggest taking a trip somewhere you will both enjoy just for fun. The euphoria of being connected and just having a great time in love is sure to spark some creative juices to flowing. Don't forget to take plenty of pictures to remind you of your priceless times. This is sure to give you some great ideas for not only an engagement party but maybe all of your upcoming wedding festivities.  Weddingpaperdivas.com is an invitation design based company that offers a wide range of other services, so be sure to visit their site when deciding on sending out your actual save the date and invitations. https://www.weddingpaperdivas.com/wedding-tips-and-ideas/engagement-party.htm HINT: After your engagement photos have been taken of course.

To reactive the question to have or not to have an engagement party? That is completely up to you to have more memories to share with your family and loved ones. The real reason to have the party is to celebrate taking the next step in your relationship and taking this inward passion and expressing it to all you want to be included. Traditionally parents of the engaged put these functions together and they usually consult someone like me to lead them in the right planning direction. Modern day which is now most couples take on this task themselves. I strongly recommend having as many wedding related parties as your budget allows. What ever you decide... agree to enjoy all of your moments. They truly are meant to last a lifetime.
